Unable to Upgrade to 1.8.1, Help!!

Marco or anyone,

I tried to upgrade to version 1.8.1 today I followed the instructions

Upgrading from Version 1.8.0 to 1.8.1 :

Due to a bug in v1.8.0 installation requires the following action :

1 Download the Version 1.8.1 installer from our website.

2 Run the v1.8.1 installer.
(this will install the new version, but certain parts will not update automaticly)

3 Run the v1.8.1 installer again and click remove.
(your license key, forecasts, game data, etc... will not be removed by this)

4 Run the v1.8.1 installer again.
(all parts will be updated properly now)

For future updates, this action will no longer be required.


I tried this 3 different times, and it just installs the old 1.8 version. I even uninstalled the whole program, restarted my PC. The old version keeps installing. Every time I open lottosync, it says new version avalible. I tried, please help. Thanks in advance.

I uninstalled version 1.8.0 first. The old data was not removed. Then I installed 1.8.1.

Are you sure ? I'm shocked...

Check the version number in the "about" section. You can find that by clicking the help icon.
if the version number says 1.8.1 instead of 1.8.0 then the update succeeded.
It is normal that the installer just says 1.8 and the top window just says 1.8

It is impossible with the method in the message I have sent you that the update would not have worked !

The solution Marco sent me worked, I now have version 1.8.1. But.........I must have erased too many files as it wiped all my data clean. Its cool, it will only take me 20 min. to re-enter. Oops
